FURRY FRIDAY vol. 5

Happy Friday everybody! I'm in Connecticut this weekend to attend my sister's bridal shower! It's been a busy week planning and packing! To top it off my car died when I was almost home so I'll have to get it fixed before I can return to Virginia. Thanks to friends and family who are able to help me!  If you have a chance check out these furry guys and have a great weekend!

PERSONAL | June Goals

Happy Tuesday everyone!  I know that we are technically one week in to June but I still want to share my goals with you for the month!  I'll recap last month's goals and then I've re-evaluated and put out my goals for this month!  I'll get the hang of this goal thing eventually!

MAY GOALS:

BUSINESS GOALS:

1. Rock the sessions I've scheduled for the month of May!
2. Buy a bigger file cabinet (2 drawers is just not enough anymore!) and re-organize my business files to make it more efficient.
3. Blog 2x per week for this month (1 personal and 1 session) and schedule posts in advance
4. Do a photo session with my new team member!  I'm scheduling a post to tell introduce them and tell you all about that!

PERSONAL GOALS:

1. Work out at least 4x's per week (I have two scheduled classes that I take per week, so I just have to add another 2 days of independent exercise).
2. Plan my meals for the week on Sundays.
3. Improve my night time schedule, I find it hard to pull myself away from working at night.  Even I need to acknowledge that down time and sleep is good!

JUNE GOALS:

BUSINESS GOALS:

1. Rock my sessions for this month!
2. Buy sample albums from a potential album company!  They look fantastic on the web and I can't wait to get my hands on them!  If they are as great in person, I'm so excited to start carrying them for my clients!
3. If I decide to use this album company, finish my pricing sheet for clients.
4. Put up a post introducing my new team member and how awesome they are!
5. Rework my pricing for portraits and weddings based on my new changes to go effective in July!
6. Still blog 2x per week!

PERSONAL GOALS:

1. Finish my crossword puzzle book. I did a word search at a friend's baby shower (a few pics of me showed up on her blog!) and I came right home and found my crossword puzzle book.  I'm loving being wordy :-)!
2. Follow my own advice - contact my wedding photographer about getting my own album!  Don't judge me!
3. Spread out my housework and avoid procrastination!
4. Start tracking my eating and exercise on My Fitness Pal again!
5. Work out/do some kind of physical activity at least four days a week!
6. Go to bed by 11 PM each night!  I need at least seven hours of sleep each night!

PERSONAL | I told you June was a busy month!

In my previous personal post this week, I shared some very special people in my life that are celebrating this month!  Monday it was my cousin, my parents, and one of my best friends and her husband!  Well, I hope you don't mind but there are a few other people that are celebrating milestones (one from yesterday and one today) that I'd love to share with you as well!

My Auntie Maryellen has a birthday today!  I want to wish my aunt a very Happy Birthday today!  Hope you get to have a lot of fun!  I'm so excited that I'll get to see her (and the rest of my family) in a few weeks when I travel to Connecticut!

I also want to send my happy congratulations to another couple who are also some of our best friends - Bryan & Sarah!  We met them Liberty University and I can't imagine life with out the two of them!   We grew a lot together in our first years of marriage and Bryce and I are so honored that when their son Rylan was born they asked us to be his godparents!  They celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary yesterday!  They are away for the weekend celebrating but I wanted to share how much we love and miss them (they live in Delaware!).  I can't believe it's been five years for you both, that Rylan is one, and that you are expecting Stafford number 2!  Happy 5th Anniversary!

FURRY FRIDAY vol. 3

It's Friday again everyone!  The days seem to go by faster and faster all the time!  I photographed the cats for the first time last Saturday and it was completely different than the dogs.  The cats frankly didn't care that I was there.  A few years back, the Lynchburg Humane Society moved to an open cat room format where the cats are free to move about as they like rather than being confined.  The cats are happier and it is more like a normal home situation for them.  This also helps with the photography too!

I had a lot better luck with the dogs as well and I was able to update quite a few of their portraits, which I'm thrilled about!  I'd like to share the following dogs who found their forever homes: Abby, Morgan, Junior, and Indiana!

If you have a chance, stop by the shelter to check out all the wonderful pets who are waiting to find the right home!  Enjoy these images!

PERSONAL | It's a special day for some special people!

June is a big month in our family for yearly celebrations and today, June 3rd, is probably the biggest day of all!  Mostly, because lots of our friends and family's wonderful milestones all fall on the same day!

Happy Anniversary to my parents - today they have been married for 35th years!  They have continuously been examples of what it means to share life with another person in the Lord.  They've grown and changed, raised four children, encountered struggles and happiness and through it all they have sought the Lord for the future!  Congratulations!  I love you both!

These two wonderful people joined themselves together in marriage in 2007!  Lindsay is one of my absolute best friends (we've known each other since we were children)!  She met Joel in college and adjusting to having him around wasn't hard at all!  Joel is a perfect match for her!  They've always been there for Bryce and I and been wonderful friends to walk through life with! Congratulations on your 6th anniversary!

Lastly, but certainly not least - it's my cousin Chelsea's 24th birthday today!  Our families have always been close and we've had so many great memories as we've grown up together!  Chelsea is the fifth sister of our clan!  I can't believe that you are 24!  Happy Birthday Chelsea!
